Literary Magazines how to's

This is the how to, and rules of submitting, ei. query letters, submission letters etc.
Contests aren't a bad idea. They cost a little but I sent mine in to the South West Writers Contest and was among the top twenty for Children's Lit.! Yeah!  I paid $60 because I wasn't a member, but I also paid for feed back and got a lot of it! It was great feedback.

Read their story's and see if it's a fit.

There is always the big SCWBWI Conference twice a year, one in NY and the other in LA. These are opportunities to show your work to agents.
